I had so much fun making the Rosemary Olive Oil Ice Cream last time that I couldn’t wait to try some more recipes! Yesterday it was a beautiful day and I was sitting out in the grass with Zoey and our new foster dog, Kiwi, when I looked over at my garden and noticed how much mint I had growing all over the place… and I mean all over the place, it spreads like crazy lol. I once had it in a garden bed but moved it to a planter, however now it pops up in the garden bed all the time still and all throughout our grass but I kinda love it haha. It inspired me to make a fresh, homemade mint-chip ice cream. Continue reading “Fresh Mint-Chip Ice Cream”
Hoppy Easter! What a beautiful weekend in Chicago, I hope it’s as lovely as it is here where you are!
It’s been just over a year since we’ve moved into our home-sweet-home in Chicago… just in time for Easter. Last year during Easter, my dad and his wife came to spend the holiday with us and they’ve come back to join us again this year with their two new puppies! Typically during the Holidays we’re off to visit our families in Michigan, so I’m grateful for new traditions in our own home. We will have a house full of family, friends and fur babies to share Easter dinner and dessert with. Continue reading “Classic Carrot Cake”
Most of our weekends are spent with our good friend having game nights (we get overly competitive with Clue and Monopoly btw), trying new restaurants, and having bonfires complete with smores in the summer! With it being his birthday this weekend, I asked him what I could make for a birthday treat and he said his favorite treats are cinnamon rolls – what better nightcap then a homemade warm cinnamon roll with a cold glass of milk?! It’s time for another “Dip Party” at the office with my work fam! All “Dip Parties” need dessert dips right?! I found this super quick, easy, and delicious recipe for a Cannoli Dip from all recipes – I highly suggest you try it during your next party! Continue reading “Quick Cannoli Dip”
My fellow blogging buddy Annie, of Give Me Meatloaf, provided great advice and tips as I began to explore developing my own, long-awaited baking blog. Being that I’m new to the blogging world, she’s been happy to answer questions and share her own experiences that have really helped me so far! Recently, Annie’s family friend gifted her a bunch of wonderful Bauli products for Christmas that she shared with me to get creative with on my own blog, which was super thoughtful – thanks Annie! 🙂
When she gave me these mini cakes, the first thing I thought of was “0mg, I can do so many fun decorating things with these”, then I thought “these would make for an awesome bread pudding dessert too”. Continue reading “Bauli Cake Bread Pudding with Lemon Curd”
