Cinnamon rolls have a special place in my heart because they were the sweet treat my Great-Grandma Tecmire was known for in addition to rhubarb pie. My dad still talks about her cinnamon rolls and how they were the best… I hope that someday I’ll be able to get mine as tasty as hers!
IT’S PIE DAY! What a great reason to bake a warm homemade pie 🙂
It’s time for another “Dip Party” at the office with my work fam! All “Dip Parties” need dessert dips right?! I found this super quick, easy, and delicious recipe for a Cannoli Dip from all recipes – I highly suggest you try it during your next party!
With Spring approaching, I decided to put a little spring twist on moms original recipe with the addition of more lemon flavoring and a graham cracker-streusel topping!
One of the things I love most about Croatian desserts is the layering – you’ll find that so many of these desserts are delicately layered, beautiful bars. Today I’m baking Ledene Kocke which is known as Chocolate Ice Squares.
Happy Super Bowl Sunday! Go Pats!
Today I have a savory, homemade baked treat that’s perfect for a Super Bowl party – pretzel bites. I have been craving soft, warm pretzels lately so I’m super excited to make some of my own.
As I mentioned in my Chocolate Soufflé post, my intentions in 2017 are to bake things I’ve never attempted before… recipes that take true patience and presence… like French Macarons!
In Chicago, there are cute little Macaron shops all over the city showcasing unique flavor combinations and pretty pastel colors. I’m sure they are a big hit during Valentine’s Day! But rather than swinging by to pick some up, I of course want to bake some of my own for my Valentine’s.
There’s just something so fun about decorating sweet treats with fun colors, sprinkles and glitter! What better time to do so than Valentine’s day!
Recently, Annie’s family friend gifted her a bunch of wonderful Bauli products for Christmas that she shared with me to get creative with on my own blog, which was super thoughtful – thanks Annie! 🙂
When she gave me these mini cakes, the first thing I thought of was “0mg, I can do so many fun decorating things with these”, then I thought “these would make for an awesome bread pudding dessert too”. So first, I’m going to share the recipe I tossed together for my bread pudding.
I have been wanting to make a chocolate soufflé FOREVER – and today I finally did. I expected this to be much more difficult and time consuming, but it was actually super quick and relatively easy.
Looking for a quick, easy and festive dessert to celebrate New Years? Strawberries + champagne are a perfect pair and make a fun and tasty cupcake to share with loved ones in the New Year!
It’s my favorite baking day of the year – the day that we bake our Croatian Christmas cookies!!! You may have read in my “About Me” section that this is a very important tradition on my Mom’s side of the family, and this is very near and dear to my heart. Since I was a little girl, Mom and I would head over to Grandma’s house, and we would spend the day baking these recipes that the women in my family brought over from Croatia.
